Matthew began his career working in the London insurance market as an IT manager for an underwriting firm.

He saw a gap in the market for innovative IT with integrity and in 1996 founded Intersys. The business began as a one-man IT department, with Matthew zipping around the City of London on a motorbike. Soon, Intersys developed into the highly technical and customer-focused organisation of today.

Matthew combines a deep understanding of operational issues with a strategic technical vision for each of our clients.

He’s also nurtured his passion for emerging technology and continues to scour industry publications and technical papers for better ways to do business through IT.

A solid pharmaceutical and engineering background, combined with a naturally analytical approach, led Catherine into enterprise risk management for ‘big pharma’.

Catherine joined Intersys in 2006 and brings immense value to blue-chip clients in regulated industries looking for efficient and compliant IT.

She also saw the opportunity to enhance the quality of risk managers’ decision-making. Catherine set about using her strong technical and project management skills to lead the development of Intersys’ award-winning supply chain risk management software tool, SCAIR®.

Catherine has the experience to fully understand the challenges facing complex, regulated organisations. This helps her to provide Intersys clients with insights that lead to the right solutions.

Richard’s background in law, economics and languages all gave way to his fierce passion for technology when he joined Intersys in 2007 to develop our forensic computing and broader product portfolio.

He has a formidable knowledge of all things IT including Microsoft server technologies, Office 365, Active Directory, systems analysis, CRM and security.

He’s also one of the first people out there experimenting with the best of new AI software or systems, to see how it could keep our clients' IT current and give them an edge over the competition.

With almost 20 years in IT, Mark brings immense technical knowledge with a committed approach to serving customers.

His specialist areas include disaster recovery, server infrastructure and virtualisation – and all things IT.

Perhaps his overriding skill is client liaison and care: Mark has the ability to take on board our clients’ trickiest problems and become a close point of contact for them throughout their journey to a business-optimising IT solution.

More recently, Mark has brought his natural flair for explaining technical IT subjects to businesses by leading our regular webinars.

Tony began his career in the London insurance markets, managing a team of claims handlers, before retraining as a business analyst and developer. His commercial and coding experience has provided a powerful formula for success heading up Intersys’ Software Development division.

Tony has been the coding brains behind our clients’ bespoke software, which range from pupil tracking for SEN schools to our supply chain risk SaaS product.

Tony now oversees a team of software developers, where he brings his business and coding knowledge to designing solutions that best solve our clients’ challenges.

Malcolm brings 40-years-plus experience of technology and commercial expertise to Intersys. He is a founding director of a software and IT services company that grew to become the market leader in bringing electronic trading to the London insurance market.

He has a broad range of business experience as a managing director, commercial director and non-executive director with expertise in business strategy, commercial negotiation, and IT products and services. Malcolm’s knowledge has helped steer Intersys towards greater and greater successes.

Jake first got his hands on a computer in 2006, crafted his first personal website in 2008 and has been all-in with IT ever since. In 2012, he joined Intersys and has developed a deep-seated knowledge of both cyber security and client relationships (in other words, keeping customers very happy).

Jake’s skillset is vast and includes Microsoft 365 and Azure compliance and security, penetration testing, gap analysis, security research, systems analysis, handling security-sensitive migrations and security monitoring.

Julie joined Intersys in 2017 after an illustrious career working in a top-10 London accountancy firm, a logistics giant, a recruitment company and a property developer.

A chartered accountant, Julie has worked as a forensic accountancy investigator, business systems designer and a financial controller. Bringing a huge amount of experience to Intersys, she leads our financial planning and analysis, ensures increased efficiency to our operations and steers our long-term business plans and growth.

When we have a plan, we ensure Julie is on board to scrutinise our numbers and plot a steady financial course ahead.

Karen has been in the IT business for 38 years, which gives her an unrivalled perspective on what brings the greatest success to IT businesses and their clients.

In her previous roles, she’s led a team of over 40 engineers to successful project resolutions and brings to our growing teams her experience in process development, team leadership and continual service improvement.
