A stunning autumn day in the historic city of Luxembourg became a beautiful evening for the European Captive Insurance Review Awards 2025.

The annual captive insurance event was set at the magnificent Cercle Cité in the old city. The Captive Review hosted the awards as a prelude to the European Captive Forum taking place over the next two days.
The awards kicked off with Luxembourg City itself being ‘Highly Commended’ in the European Domicile Category.

‘Highly Commended’ in a highly competitive category
There were seven entrants in a hotly contested ‘Technology Solution of the Year’ category. Strategic Risk Solutions was the overall winner, with Intersys taking the runner-up ‘Highly Commended’ spot. Other entrants to the category included Zurich Insurance Company, Reserv (partly owned by Accenture), Norway’s Noria, and Big Ticket (founded by MasterCard, Aon, Aviva, Oasis, Zurich and Pool Re).
Intersys was given the accolade of ‘Highly Commended’ for its certificate manager system which you can read more about here. AstraZeneca, which was the original inspiration behind Certificate Manager for Clinical Trials, was also honoured with the title of ‘Captive Programme of the Year’.
The judges’ feedback for Technology Solution of the Year winners, Strategic Risk Solutions, was “The solution helps to digitise issues in the captive market and provides efficiency for Captives in processing issues. They are also utilising new technologies, for example, AI. ETL and data warehousing are essential for efficiently managing any sizeable captive programme. As such SRS’ proposition is welcomed and relevant for the market.”
We are thrilled to have been recognised by the captive insurance industry in a much sought after award category and look forward to developing more innovations for global captive insurance programs.
