We are delighted to announce that our Christmas charity for 2025 is ELHAP, a specialist adventure playground for children and young people with disabilities and complex care needs.
ELHAP is one of only eight specialist adventure playgrounds in the UK. The charity supports over 750 children and 300 families, offering essential adventure and nature-based play to families and schools from more than four London boroughs, as well as Essex and Hertfordshire counties. It also offers much-needed respite for families and carers.
ELHAP has a five-acre woodland in Redbridge, along with an ancient orchard, a nature reserve and the biggest specialist adventure playground in the country.
The charity’s mission is ‘To provide inclusive, natural and stimulating adventure play and related recreation to all children, young people and adults who are disadvantaged through disability, adversity or difficult life experience through the provision of accessible, user-led and friendly services to families in need.’
ELHAP offers a range of services such as holiday play schemes, Saturday clubs, stay and play sessions, a siblings project, a nature play project, school visits and many other outdoor-based activities.
Intersys’ association with ELHAP (which is also based in Woodford Green) goes back nearly a decade. During this time, we have supported their work by helping them modernise their IT infrastructure as well as spread the word about their amazing projects.
