Challenges:

A pharmaceutical company was looking to test the security of their  global sites against best practice criteria and identify any existing vulnerabilities. They were also keen to have a roadmap of next steps with recommended  solutions to improve their security posture.

Our Solution:

Intersys has extensive experience carrying out independent penetration tests for many highly regulated sectors. Our team of expert engineers conducted external black box penetration tests on multiple client sites.

 The testing included fingerprinting, identification of network subnets and IP addresses, open-source intelligence gathering and active testing. At the end of the test phase, we prepared a detailed, penetration testing report which outlined all the client’s vulnerabilities and included suggested remedial action to be taken.

The penetration test and report gave the client an insight into the resilience of their sites to withstand attacks from unauthorised sources. The client was particularly grateful for the detailed report summary written in non-technical language which was easily accessible for wider business leadership teams. The entire project validated the client’s security mechanisms and greatly improved their internal vulnerability management process.
