Azure Deployment Helps FinTech Provider Securely Manage its Entire Infrastructure

Challenges:

A leading FinTech provider for the London insurance market was looking to seamlessly migrate its server and platform infrastructure to the Microsoft Azure Cloud environment. The existing environment was inconsistent and insecure and the client was keen to align it with best practice. It also had two very specialist software products that needed to be migrated to Azure. 

This was a very technical project that involved hosting and migrating systems away from various virtual machines and legacy environments to the Azure ecosystem. 

Our Solution:

Intersys has a dedicated team of Azure and infrastructure specialists who have extensive experience in virtualisation as well as managing larger infrastructure projects. We also have vast experience providing systems support to the insurance sector for over 25 years. 

We seamlessly integrated with the client’s in-house team and managed the migration and hosting of both their platforms and servers to the Azure environment. We automated some of this process with our own custom software (Managed Instances and Managed SQL Databases in Azure) which was written to deploy to the environment. 

Our team used methodical, well-documented and carefully planned processes to define and execute this project. We were able to bring the discipline, formal knowledge and experience that was necessary for such a specialist task. It ensured that the client complied with all the regulations applicable to the finance sector. 

We’ve now handed over a lot of the work to our managed services team, who take on the day-to-day running such as picking up tickets, triaging, and escalating and executing jobs. This could include anything from routine maintenance of the servers to looking after the Azure machines. This systematic and formalised approach has been key to keeping the client’s infrastructure both secure and fast-running.
