The client was seeking an IT partner to create and implement a cyber security strategy based on industry best practices in order to reassure their stakeholders. Since the client operated in the highly regulated financial trading sector, it was vital that their IT systems were secured beyond any doubt. They also required a provider who had extensive experience in integrating IT systems for multinational offices.

Our Solution:

Intersys planned security measures to ensure the client’s information systems met or exceeded the levels required by their stakeholders.

We began by creating a security matrix detailing users’ access to information and services. We then implemented a whole range of cyber security measures, some of which are highlighted below:

• Created Microsoft Teams security policies to ensure management functions were tightly controlled
• configured security policies for laptops and company mobiles
• remotely set up IT security for the Africa office
• set up virtual LANs to provide separated, best-practice security
• integrated managed switches and firewalls providing physical segregation between security
• configured the firewalls to provide perimeter security and intrusion prevention
